Popular Nigerian Disc Jockey, Florence Otedola, well known as DJ Cuppy, on Nigeria's independence day, stated that she would still be a Nigerian in her next life.
The billionaire heiress joined millions of Nigerians in celebrating the country's 65th independence anniversary with an inspiring message to her fellow compatriots.
Taking to her Instagram page on Wednesday, the entertainer praised Nigerians for their resilience, perseverance, and ability to find joy despite the nation’s numerous challenges.
“My home, my country Nigeria is 65 today. Through it all, our people keep pushing, persevering, and finding joy even in the toughest times. God did not rush when He made us. He gave us resilience, spirit, and endless energy. In my next life, I’d still choose to be Nigerian,” she wrote.
Her post quickly drew mixed reactions from fans and countrymen, with many lashing her, claiming she's a privileged child, while others echoed her sentiments and expressed pride in being Nigerian despite the difficulties the country faces.
