Actress Sarah Martins has addressed critics of women who choose to remain unmarried following reports of media personality Frank Edoho’s marital difficulties.

In an Instagram post, Martins questioned the continued criticism directed at unmarried women, noting that recent cases of marital challenges had highlighted the difficulties many face in marriage.

According to Martins, she preferred remaining single and maintaining her peace over entering a marriage of convenience due to external pressure.

She wrote: “With all the marriage crises going on lately, you people still shame women for choosing to stay unmarried???

“Nawa o. I rather stay single and enjoy my peace than allow u all to bully me into a marriage of convenience”.

The actress stated that she was currently focused on her well-being and self-care, adding that she would consider marriage in the future if she met a suitable partner.

“Omo, I no really send una papa for this side! I am currently prioritising my peace and loving myself more, and if a good man comes later, then I will definitely settle, but until then, una papa left nyash!“, she added.
