Trinidadian-born rapper Onika Tanya Maraj, popularly known as Nicki Minaj, has once again stirred up the Nigerian internet with her attempts to communicate in Pidgin, a popular language in Nigeria.
Recently, Nicki Minaj released an exciting new single titled "If It's Okay," featuring the soulful vocals of David Guetta and Nigerian singer Davido.
In a playful tweet directed at Davido, the pop legend jokingly claimed that the Afrobeats star was trying to win her over with the song.
Using Nigerian Pidgin, Nicki wrote: “AH! @davido Dey try win me for my own song, eh? No worry, my own Dey come soon for una pikin & the Barbz worldwide. #IfItsOkay #ThePinkprint10YearAnniversary.”
Davido, known for his lighthearted banter, immediately responded with, "I come in peace." Nicki later reiterated her statement on Instagram, causing many to burst into laughter.
