Nigerian rapper CDQ has revealed that his cooking skills are so impressive that he once jokingly demanded $10,000 from Afrobeats superstar Davido to prepare a meal for him.

Speaking during an interview on the JBrandy Entertainment Podcast, the rapper, whose real name is Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf, proudly described himself as an excellent cook and disclosed that several celebrities have tasted his meals.

According to CDQ, stars such as D'banj and comedian AY have visited his apartment and were full of praise after eating his food.

Recalling an encounter with Davido, the rapper said the DMW boss invited him to cook at his apartment during a trip to Dubai. However, he told Davido that his cooking service would cost $10,000.

“When D'banj and AY came to my apartment in Atlanta and tasted my food, they were impressed. Later, Davido asked me to come cook for him in Dubai, and I told him it would cost $10,000,” CDQ said.

The rapper added that his friends often gather around whenever he is cooking, earning him the nickname “Chef Q.”

Interestingly, this isn't the first time CDQ has joked about charging Davido for his culinary services. In 2022, he shared a screenshot of a private conversation where the singer asked when he would come and cook for him, only for CDQ to respond with a $10,000-per-day fee.

His revelation has since sparked hilarious reactions online, with many fans wondering whether Davido eventually accepted the offer—or simply left the cooking to his wife, Chioma.
