I am the Deborah of Lagos - Funke Akindele reacts to Tinubu's team calling her an 'ant' in politics

Popular actress, Funke Akindele has declared herself the 'Deborah of Lagos' and has continued in her political campaign for the Lagos state gubernatorial seat, shortly after the All Progressive Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu's campaign team called her 'an ant' in politics.

Recall that during a campaign held in Lagos on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, Bola Tinubu cautioned his campaign team against mentioning Funke Akindele's name in his presence.

At the political outing, his supporters described Funke Akindele as a political ‘ant’ compared to the incumbent Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu in a campaign song.

“Who is Funke Akindele before Sanwo-Olu of Lagos? She is an ant,” they sang.

But reacting to the song, Tinubu condescendingly said, “Don’t even bother to mention her name in my presence. It is an insult. It is disrespectful.”

In a swift reaction on social media Funke Akindele shared a video of herself, proudly highlighting her achievements.
