I am not sure the Chinese medical experts are all doctors- Health Minister reveals

Minister of Health in Nigeria, Osagie Ehanire has demonstrated little knowledge about the Chinese medical experts that were shipped into Nigeria last month.

In an interview with Arise News, the Minister said they came to attend to the health needs of the CCECC in the country.

The Minister who was in the dark regarding the Chinese medics and what they came to do said he knew nothing about them and was not even sure they were all medical doctors. However, he said they were able to get some information from the Chinese via video calls.

"I am not sure they are all doctors. However, we had a conference with those participated in their country's response. I didn't attend that particular day but we were able to get some information from them and I heard it went well," Ehanire admitted.

Recall that a team of 15 Chinese medical professionals arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on April 8, 2020, with medical equipment worth about $1.5 million.

The invitation of the Chinese doctors by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 was highly criticized by most Nigerians especially doctors under the aegis of the Nigerian Medical Association.
