I am not an ex-convict and I will continue spraying money – Bobrisky

Bobrisky Bobrisky

Crossdresser Idris Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, has warned against labelling him as an ex-convict.

Speaking in an interview with Isbae U, on Curiosity Makes Me Ask, Bobrisky clarified that he was in a male correctional center, not a prison.

Bobrisky was released from prison on August 5 after serving a six-month sentence for abusing the naira.

He stated, ‘’I am not an ex-convict because I can't be convicted for spraying my money. I am not an ex-convict. I wouldn't accept that.”

The crossdresser expressed his intentions to continue spraying money at events, focusing on using dollars.

Reflecting on his time in prison, Bobrisky saw it as a break after working hard.

“It was a time to go and rest. I have been working so hard and I think their decision was okay for me. Their decision was to break me, but sadly, nothing happened to the mummy of Lagos. I am still fine and still good and will continue to be fine and good.

These people really wanted to break me. I have never seen anywhere they sentence someone for spraying their own money. Everything happened like a movie. I sprayed my hard-earned money, and I was sentenced to where we have a lot of criminals. It is a whole lot.''

Bobrisky mentioned that he might not mind going back to prison for a short term.

He denied claims that he spent his jail term in a VIP cell instead of the regular prison where other criminals are held.

When asked about his time in prison, Bobrisky shared that he was at the male correctional center and enjoyed it. He also mentioned that he was held in the female cell only during interrogation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

“I spent it at the male correctional center and I loved it. If they had allowed me to stay in the female correctional center, I wouldn't have had fun. I wouldn't have enjoyed myself. While I was at the male correctional center, I was the only different person there, and so people were nice to me, showing me care, giving me stuffs. If I had stayed in the female ward, who would have shown me care?'''
