'How did you help Mohbad when he was alive' - Reno Omokri tackles late singer's mourners

Former presidential aide and public affairs commentator Reno Omokri has tackled the many people mourning late singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known professionally as MohBad.

In a tweet on his X account, the social analyst asked the mourners what they had done specifically for the musician while he was still living.

Reno said that if people were truly friends with the singer and wanted to grieve him, they should discuss the things they did for him while he was still living.

Reno went on to explain that if someone claims to be Mohbad's friend but did nothing to assist him while he was still alive and in need of assistance, then they were and will never be Mohbad's friends.

He asked them to maintain their opinions about the singer's passing to themselves and to quit stirring up trouble so that the police could conduct their inquiries with the best chance of success.

He wrote: "When MohBad was alive, how did you help him? That is what the public should hear from you if you were indeed his friend. Not how you heard this and that. If you were close enough to him to hear this and that about him, you were also close enough to help him. Did you? If you did not, then you were and are not his friend. Friends help each other. Friends don't talk about each other. Enough of this! The police are investigating. Don't add to the noise. Get some poise. Allow them to do their work objectively. A forensic investigation is more reliable than your hearsay information."
