Nigerian music icon, Wizkid, has shared his experiences during the early stages of his career.

Wizkid recounted how aspiring musicians used to gather outside of his residence, looking for the opportunity to work with him.

The Grammy winner, who became very famous in the industry in 2010, described these moments as reflective of his defining years in the music industry.

Wizkid played an essential role in uplifting others, collaborating with a wide range of talents, including Tiwa Savage, Seyi Shay, and Olamide.

Despite his support for his peers, Wizkid expressed disappointment that many artists fail to acknowledge his contributions to their success.

Sharing an example, Wizkid recalled offering a female artist a 10% discount to make a collaboration more accessible.

He, however, lamented the lack of gratitude he has often experienced from those he has helped.
