How Kizz Daniel, Davido, and Burna Boy are building real estate empires - Ubi Franklin

Nigerian music executive and talent manager Ubi Franklin has shed light on how some of the country's top Afrobeats stars have shifted their focus from public displays of wealth to building extensive real estate portfolios.

Speaking on a recent podcast appearance, the Made Men Music Group (MMMG) founder emphasised that senior figures in the Nigerian music scene are increasingly channelling their earnings into tangible assets rather than flashing wealth on social media.

Among the top investors, Franklin singled out chart-topping singer Kizz Daniel as one of the quietest yet largest property owners in the industry.

"The older artistes have passed the stage where they simply show off wealth; they are buying assets. One of the biggest holders of real estate in the Nigerian entertainment industry that I know of is Kizz Daniel," Franklin said during the interview.

Franklin noted that while several high-profile musicians enjoy lavish lifestyles publicly, their financial operations behind the scenes are heavily anchored in property acquisitions.

He identified other major industry figures as key players in the real estate market, including Flavour, Phyno, Davido, and Grammy-winner Burna Boy.

"What I am saying is that as much as these guys are playing, it doesn't mean that they are not doing things. Some of them hold a huge real estate portfolio, and I know one of them is Kizz Daniel. But he doesn't make noise; he’s just doing his thing," Franklin explained.
