Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has openly issued a warning to her industry rival, Lizzy Anjorin, stating that Lizzy should be held accountable if any harm comes to her or her family. The statement was made in a video Iyabo posted on her official Instagram page, intensifying the long-standing feud between both actresses.

The tension escalated after Lizzy Anjorin took to social media to celebrate what she described as a court victory, claiming that a defamation case filed against her had been struck out. Lizzy’s post implied that the matter had been legally resolved in her favour.

However, Iyabo Ojo quickly countered Lizzy’s claims. In her video message, she clarified that no such court ruling had occurred and that no formal hearing had even started.

According to Iyabo: “Lizzy, we have not started any case. The judge threw the case out because she wanted peace. I have been waiting for you to mention my name.”

Iyabo firmly rejected Lizzy’s narrative, accusing her of misleading the public. She explained that the judge’s decision to strike out the case was based on maintaining peace, not because any legal judgement had been made in Lizzy’s favour.

Addressing personal accusations made by Lizzy, Iyabo also tackled claims that she associates with individuals who bully Lizzy.

Responding directly, she said:

“You said I always associate with people that bully you. Lizzy, we are not friends and I don’t owe you any explanation about who I choose to be close to.”

Iyabo emphasized that her choice of friends and associates is her personal business, making it clear that Lizzy’s attempts to control or criticise those relationships were unwelcome.

The actress further alleged that Lizzy has a pattern of dragging anyone connected to her into public spats and has been engaging in online harassment. According to Iyabo, this behaviour has now reached a point where it could have real-world consequences.

In a serious and public warning, Iyabo Ojo stated:

“If anything should happen to me or my children, Lizzy, you should be held responsible.”

Her words have since triggered widespread reactions on social media. Many fans and fellow entertainers have weighed in, with some calling for the two actresses to resolve their issues privately rather than continue exchanging words in public. Others have expressed concern over the seriousness of Iyabo’s warning, urging both parties to prioritize peace.
