A student whose name is withheld is writing WASSCE while pregnant for seven months.

The gentleman responsible for it and the lady who spoke in an interview are 20 and 18 respectively.

According to the young lady, there are challenges that come with being pregnant as a student but she is poised to face them all because of her future.

A seven-month pregnant WASSCE candidate and a schoolmate responsible for the pregnancy have been writing this year’s WASSCE examination at Mansoman Senior high School in Amansie West of the Ashanti Region.

A report that was gathered by Kessbenfm.com and sighted by YEN.com.gh, a sister publication of Legit.ng, indicates that the two are students but not minors.

Their names are withheld but the gentleman is 20 years old while the report mentions that his partner is 18 years old.

Speaking in an interview, the headmaster of the school, Ampofo Nuako, revealed that five of their students have been unable to sit for this year's WASSCE, excluding the two students in question.

The lady revealed what gave her the courage to mingle with her colleagues and write her exams while pregnant.

“I’m in my seventh month, and it may not be advisable for a student to do what I did but since it has happened, I can’t say I won’t write because of shyness. Because of my future, I’m not ashamed of writing with my pregnancy”, she said.

Getting pregnant as a student is an event that is capable of shattering dreams and causes many to quit schooling but this lady's story shows that life in education can proceed despite the challenges that come with the pregnancy.

Legit.ng had earlier reported how a brand new couple recently decided that the rampaging deadly disease, coronavirus, is too small to stop them from being joined together as husband and wife.

The unnamed couple whose wedding photo has gone viral on social media decided not to change their wedding date like many others in the same situation as they have done by postponing their wedding till after the COVID-19 scare.

The couple according to Tony Matinjah who shared their wedding photo on Facebook had gone ahead to get married in their house with few friends attending the wedding ceremony.
