Hear people out objectively - Comedian Olu Salako defends Desmond Elliot
Olu Salako has taken to social media to share his thoughts concerning Desmond Elliot's recent remark
Unlike many other Nigerians, comedian Olu Salako, has taken to social media to defend Desmond Elliot over his recent remarks concerning social media during a plenary session at the Lagos state House of Assembly.
Recall the lawmaker caught heat online after he referred to Nigerian youths as children, adding that they use social media to promote hate speech.
Welll, Salako is of the opinion that there was nothing wrong with what Elliot said. According to him, the lawmaker only complained about youth conduct both on and offline.

In a series of Instagram story post, he slammed Nigerians for not objective in the way they handle things and stated that this could grow fear in others and keep them from speaking up for fear of being misunderstood.
Sharing the post, he captioned:
"There's so little we can do if people are scared to say things because it will be maligned just because it doesn't sound like what you believe....this is not just an EndSARS thing. It is a mentality thing we have and I have noticed it way before this."Hear people out objectively.... don't let emotional bias becloud your sense of objectivity...no where in that video does he say anything about passing a social media regulation bill. You have always thought you had empathy but you clearly don't...we have become as brutal as the people we protest against. It's sad mehn......I said it yesterday and I decided to put it here cos I don't want a society where I can't say something because everyone is against it....I'm not that guy...."
