Grammy award-nominee Davido has confirmed that he would be getting married in an elaborate ceremony to his wife Chioma Rowland.
According to recent reports, the singer and his chef wife will wed traditionally on June 25, 2024, in Lagos. The singer verified the report in a video that went viral on Tuesday, June 11.
In the video, Davido could be heard saying, “Guys, you have to come to Nigeria on the 25th [of June] for my wedding.”
This comes after the couple welcomed a set of twins in October 2023, in the United States.
Recall that the couple lost their first child together, Ifeanyi Adeleke after he drowned in a swimming pool at the family’s Banana Island residence in October 2022.
A few months after the death of the 3-year-old boy, news had it that the couple had married covertly. According to reports they married because they had to do it before burying their late son Ifeanyi.
The ceremony was attended by a few family members and friends of the couple.
In 2023, Davido stated that he would want to have an elaborate wedding with Chioma where a lot of people would witness their love.
