In a stunning turn of events, Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has filed a lawsuit against Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) president Emeka Rollas after she was suspended for spreading allegedly incorrect information.

The situation became more heated when Emeka Rollas announced her suspension last Friday, citing a two-year investigation that allegedly found her guilty of disseminating false information about her colleagues and well-known figures in the entertainment industry.

Part of the letter reads, “Instead of respecting our client’s rights to privacy and a fair hearing, you chose this sensitive period to promote your false story.

Your false publication has severely damaged our client’s reputation and continues to do so with every passing minute.”
