'Governance is a joke to us' - Aisha Yesufu fumes as Regina Daniels bags appointment

Nigerian activist Aisha Yesufu has spoken about her thoughts on an Executive Council made up of spouses of Senators from the 10th National Assembly.

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels had earlier shared on her social media pages that she has landed herself a new appointment.

During the 10th Assembly Senators' Wives Forum, the youngest spouse of Senator Ned Nwoko declared that she had been selected to act as the Executive Council's Social Secretary.

She was introduced at the inaugural official gathering of the 10th Senator's Wives Association of Nigeria, which was hosted by Ekaette, the spouse of Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

The main topic of discussion at the conference was on how to assist senators, their husbands, and the First Lady of the Federation in better serving Nigeria's lovely people.

Sharing a photo of the event, Regina wrote: “I was also made the social secretary of the forum, I look forward to a great Nigeria."

As a result, a furious Yesufu bemoaned that the country's governance had degenerated into a comedy.

The activist questioned whether a forum for the 10th Assembly senators' husbands would also be held.

Taking to her Twitter page, she wrote: “What is good for the goose should also be good for the gander! There should be a 10th Assembly Senator’s Husbands Forum since we like a lot of nonsensical nonsense in this country. Governance is a like a joke to us."
