'God you do this one' - Congratulations pour in as Mercy Chinwo, husband welcome first child

Congratulatory messages have poured in for gospel singer Mercy Chinwo and her husband Pastor Blessed as they welcome their first child.

The singer took to her Instagram page to thank her maker for adding an additional member to her family.

Mercy Chinwo gave thanks to God, saying He gave them testimony on their lips and gladness in their hearts. Despite the singer's refusal to disclose the child's gender, rumours suggest that the pair gave birth to a son.

She wrote: “Lord, we are grateful; we approach Your throne with heartfelt songs of praise and thanksgiving.

“You’ve filled our hearts with joy, our lips with testimonies, and our home with celebration. Indeed YOU DO THIS ONE.
