'Give Obi his mandate for Nigeria to start' - Actress, Toni Tones

Nigerian actress Toni Tones has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to give the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the just concluded general election Peter Obi his mandate.

Recall that Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was decalred the winner by the INEC following the presidential and national assembly elections on February 25 thereby making him the president-elect.

Many people voiced their disapproval and disgust with the outcome of the result, claiming that there was foul play and Tinubu wasn't the true victor.

Many claimed that it was quite evident that Peter Obi had won and not Tinubu.

Toni Tones responded in a Twitter post she shared on Sunday, April 25, by requesting INEC to give Obi his mandate back.

The actress continued by saying that INEC should declare Obi winner of the election so that Nigeria can start its operations.

She wrote: "Please give Peter Obi his mandate so Nigeria can start. It’s about time please."
