Seasoned Ghanaian actor Kofi Adjorlolo has taken a bite on why Nigeria's movie industry is more successful than the Ghanaian industry.

In an interview with media personality Kafui Dey on GTV, the actor opined that Nigerians have an advantage over their Ghanaian counterparts because they are serious with their work.

The actor stated that it is unlike Nigerian actors to arrive on set late while he stressed that the "Nigerians" do everything necessary to advance the industry.

Despite Majid Michel and Jackie Appiah interjecting and disagreeing with his submissions, Adjorlolo added that even though Nigeria has the numbers as compared to Ghanaians, that isn't the sole reason for the success of Nollywood.

The veteran actor urged Ghanaians to emulate Nigeria's dedication and diligence in their movie industry and apply it to their own in order to advance.

Kofi Adjorlolo continued by saying that the industry players must acknowledge the fact that the industry is lacking an element that is impeding its growth.

He said: “Everybody is aware that I’ve had that experience of working with the Nigerians, one thing I’ve noticed is that the growth they’re experiencing is because they put a lot of seriousness into the work they do.

“The seriousness they apply to their work is not the same as we do to ours. You wouldn’t find a Nigerian actor going on set late.

“The problem is that we don’t agree to accept that the way the work must be done is not how it’s done here.

"I wish we could learn from Nigerians because it’s not just the numbers that makes their industry grow.”
