Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji has slammed those advising Igbo men not to get married to Igbo women at all.

An X user had issued the advice after a Rwandan lady expressed joy that she will soon become the wife of an Igbo man from Anambra.

According to @onyeka_chii, "This is what am talking about! Dear Igbo men, instead of marrying Igbo woman that'll falsely accuse you of r4ping your daughter, better look outside for wife. Go to East Africa, especially Rwanda and pick a damsel. They're all over social media and you can link up with them

Reacting, Geneveive Nnaji expressed displeasure at the advice, especially when it failed to hold men accountable.

She said, "In order words, instead of checking yourself and taking accountability, go for the unsuspecting and carry on with your evil. Got it."

Another X user attempted to provide an explanation for the reason behind the earlier post.

@olieyannah said, "His tweet was clearly against false rape accusers, but instead of holding the evil women accountable and demanding change, you chose to tweet this?"

In response, the actress said, "The same way a woman can’t tell an abusive man apart from a good one is the same way you shouldn’t say avoid all Igbo women. “Not all women'."
