A Kenyan chef identified as Maliha Mohammed has unofficially broken Nigerian chef Hilda Baci's record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

This comes after the Kenyan chef began her 95-hour cooking marathon on August 11.

Despite her success, Guinness World Records has not yet formally acknowledged her new record.

Recall that celebrity cook Hilda Baci, who beat out Indian chef Lata Tondon, was named the new record holder by the Guinness World Record.

Hilda Baci intended to cook for 100 hours, but she only managed 93 hours and 11 minutes after making a mistake during her rest breaks.

Mohammed succeeded in her endeavor a few months after indicating her intention to do so.

The two-times Guinness World Record holder, and a mother of two, shared photos of her new feat online in celebration.

Hilda Baci broke the previous record in June with a time of 93 hours and 11 minutes.

The GWR recognized her as the new record holder on June 13 and thanked her supporters for sticking by her.
