Social media has been thrown into a frenzy following the release of a video featuring seasoned Nollywood veterans; Kanayo O Kanayo, Jibola Dabo, Fred Amata, and Segun Arinze hanging out.

Kanayo O. Kanayo posted a video of himself and his colleagues chatting heartily and discussing how long it had been since they saw one another.

Excited to see his colleague Jibola Dabo, Kanayo showered him with compliments about how he always looked "white."

As he entered the house, Kanayo called out the names of his other colleagues, Fred Amata and Segun Arinze, as they hugged and exchanged pleasantries.

While chatting, Kanayo stated that they should always give thanks to God for their continued health and well-being as many of their colleagues have passed away with some still battling severe health conditions.

He said: "We’re privileged to still be alive, many of our colleagues are no more so we need to thank God and pray for them. It’s not because of anything special o"

Recall that some Nollywood stars have been fighting potentially life-threatening illnesses lately and some eventually pass away after multiple bouts.

Comic actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, in 2023 became unwell and battled diabetes; as a result, one of his limbs was amputated.

Despite all efforts, Mr Ibu sadly passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024, throwing the Nollywood industry and the entire country into a state of mourning.

Veteran actor Amaechi Muonagor has been in the news following the news of his illness. His family are calling for support from fans and the general public to come to their aid as the actor needs a kidney transplant, which will take place in India.

Yoruba Nollywood actor, Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji, popularly known as Sisi Quadri also died on Friday, March 1, 2024, at the age of 44 after battling ulcer.
