Fuji musician, Marufu Alujo accused of raping 15-year-old girl

A 15-year-old girl has narrated how she was raped by Fuji Musician Maroof Adebayo aka Marufu Alujo in Kwara State.

The young girl stated that the musician lured her into a room in his house where he forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.

She also revealed that when his wife learnt of the incident, she begged her not to reveal it to anyone.

She told Sahara Reporters: "Moruf Alujo raped me on the 31st, Sunday, May 2020. I went to hawk and he bought a market of N300 and told me to come back for money. When I got there, I met him in his wife's room; he entered another room and asked me to come inside. I told him no but he insisted saying he cannot harm me and we are not strangers. Nobody told him to be collecting money for my mother from my father and he just wants to help my life. He said he noticed I have a challenge in school and he will help me and buy me a phone today.

"He asked if I'm a virgin and I told him yes. He asked if I'm lying, I said no, that I'm a virgin. He closed the door and pushed me to the bed. He said if I shout he would naked and disgrace me. He raped me and while I shouted, nobody came out. He tore my clothes by the side and had sex with me. I cried and went out. His wife asked me what happened and I told her her husband raped me. She begged me and asked me to keep it a secret that that's how her husband does".
