Femi Kuti’s son, Made Kuti engages his girlfriend

Made Kuti, the son of saxophonist Femi Kuti and the grandson of the late Afrobeat musician Fela Kuti, has gotten a "YES" from his girlfriend.

The singer enthusiastically shared the news on his Instagram page on Tuesday, November 1.

An overjoyed Made exclaimed that he had proposed to his girlfriend and she had accepted his offer to spend the rest of time with her.

Even though there is much suffering in the world every day, for Made, sharing that suffering with her and working toward a better future makes it worthwhile.

Made wrote: “She said YES! @__inedoye. Newest Fiance and Fiancee in town. There’s a lot of pain in the world everyday. But sharing that pain and fighting for a better world with you makes it all worth living for. I can’t wait to see the future we build together I love you.”

According to Inedoye, Made Kuti booked a trip to Paris "by himself" and proposed while they were out to dinner in the City of Love.

Femi Kuti, the singer's father, who is obviously delighted by the news, posted in the comment section and added: “Congratulations to both of you.”
