The Nigerian music community has been thrown into mourning following the reported death of budding singer Oju Ika, who lost his life after being stabbed during a violent robbery attack in Lagos.

According to an account shared by fellow artiste Bolisco, suspect robbers invaded a serviced apartment along the Joke Ayo/Ikola Alagbado axis in the early hours of Tuesday, September 22, 2026.

The assailants reportedly targeted Bolisco and members of his entourage, stealing several valuables, including mobile phones and gold chains. However, the robbery turned deadly when Oju Ika, an associate of Bolisco, was attacked and stabbed by the armed intruders.

Following the assault, Oju Ika was rushed to a nearby medical facility for emergency care. Despite frantic attempts by medical personnel to save his life, he succumbed to his injuries and was confirmed dead shortly after.

The incident has since been reported to the Lagos State Police Command. Law enforcement authorities have launched an investigation into the robbery and murder, working to apprehend the suspects responsible for the fatal attack.
