Family confirms death of South African rapper AKA

The family of South African rapper, Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly called AKA has confirmed his death on hours after news of the shooting on Friday evening.

AKA was reportedly shot dead in a drive-by shooting in Durban’s Florida Rd.

The South African police department also confirmed the shooting incident.

An eyewitness said, A.K.A was shot five times at 8pm and was the only person killed in the course of the shooting incident.

According to report, the South African police department is actively investigating the shooting.

Confirming the death of the singer in a statement on Saturday morning via the rapper’s social media accounts, AKA’s family appealed for some compassion and privacy, also to keep them in your prayers as they await more details from the police.
