'Fame broke me' - BBNaija star, Angel reveals she almost committed suicide in March

Big Brother Naija “All Stars” housemate, Angel Smith, has disclosed that she came close to ending her own life in March this year.

She shared this dark side of her life with her love interest, Soma, after their task on Tuesday, August 15.

According to the 23-year-old star who admitted to being suicidal during her first appearance on the show during the Shine Ya Eye season in 2021, her newfound fame left her miserable and devastated, and she nearly ended it all.

She said she consistently had to affirm her identity in order to overcome that difficult phase.

Her words: “I numbed myself out after my suicide attempt in March because it got so chaotic. Fame divided me into pieces and left those pieces on the floor for me to pick up. It broke me.

“Every time I get into an argument in this house, I say to myself, do I even want to be here? I remember how I got here. No one in this house knows this. I have suffered.”
