Nigerian rapper Folarin Falana, better known by his stage name Falz has had many talking following the release of his new single 'Yakubu' which features singer Vector.

The song criticized the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), for its “inadequacies” in the recently-concluded 2023 elections.

The INEC chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, came under fire from the rappers over suspected electoral fraud.

Falz released the song on Thursday, March 30, in allusion to the commission's broken pledge to transmit the election results in real-time via its result viewing portal, known as IReV portal.

With the song's release and the controversy surrounding the rapper, a lot of social media users have expressed worry for his safety.

Although they commend the rapper for his bravery and love for Nigeria, they think he needs to be safeguarded because his life may be in danger.
