The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Muhammad Bello, has announced that rapper Naira Marley and others will be prosecuted for violating COVID-19 regulation.
Naira Marley had held a drive-in concert at Jabi Lake Mall in Abuja with attendees breaking social distancing rule and other COVID-19 regulations.
Their actions have been described by the Minister as reckless, wicked, insensitive and utter disrespect for the law and the wellbeing of people of the city.
This is contained in a press statement issued by the Minister's Chief Press Secretary Anthony Ogunleye.
Bello said, "The FCT Administration which has a responsibility to protect the lives of the citizenry is determined to prosecute all those involved in orchestrating these infractions to the full extent of the law”.
