Excitement as singer Wizkid bags two solid Grammy nominations

Nigerian singer Wizkid made the 64th Grammy Awards' list under the category of the best global music performance and the best global music album, Variety reports.

Wizkid's music Essence would be battling against Angelique Kidjo and Burna Boy's Do Yourself, Femi Kuti's PÀ PÁ PÀ, Yo-Yo Ma and Angelique Kidjo Blewu, and Arooj Aftab Mohabbat, under the best global music performance category.

Meanwhile, singer Tems was also mentioned as her music with Wizkid was the one nominated.

In the best global music album, Wizkid's Made In Lagos Deluxe Edition was listed alongside four others including Nigeria's Femi and Made Kuti, Angelique Kidjo, and two others.

The Grammy Award ceremony will take place on Monday January,31 2022.

Wizkid's fans react with excitement. The singer's fans did not disappoint as they took to social media to hail him.
