A former waiter identified as Adedamola on TikTok has gone viral after sharing a touching experience he had with Jimmy Odukoya, senior pastor of The Fountain of Life Church.

In the video, Adedamola said he first knew Jimmy Odukoya as an actor before later discovering that he had become a pastor. He revealed that he had never met him in person until a few years ago while working at a restaurant, where he had the opportunity to serve him.

According to him, each time he approached the table to serve food or clear items, the cleric would politely say, “Thank you, sir.”

The former waiter said the simple gesture left a lasting impression on him, especially because he was already used to dealing with rude customers. He recalled an incident where a customer harshly ordered him to bring food quickly, even making an offensive remark about spitting in it.

Adedamola explained that the experience with Pastor Jimmy taught him humility and the importance of treating people with respect, regardless of their role or status.

He also revealed that he was earning ₦33,000 at the time and said the encounter changed the way he now relates with service workers whenever he goes out.

The video has since drawn praise online, with many commending the cleric for his humility and kind disposition.
