Popular actor and content creator, Adebowale Debo Adedayo aka ‘Mr Macaroni’ has pleaded that protesters who are still in police custody be released.

He said this to journalists during the peaceful walk for the third year remembrance of the Endsars movement which took place on Friday, 20th of October 2023.

Recall that some Nigerians protested at the ‘Lekki tollgate’ against police brutality and the disbandment of SARS (Special Anti-Robbery Squad) on the 11th of October 2020.

Some of these protesters are still in police custody since 2020 when the protest took place.

Mr Macaroni said: “In as much as we have said that this is a very peaceful walk we want it to remain so, and what I want to do now is to use this opportunity to call for the unconditional release of all those that are still unjustly in prison.

"There are still some protesters that have been imprisoned since 2020 Lawyers have been on the case different shout everyday but till now they are still there we are using this walk once again to call on all those concerned for the unconditional release of all protesters that are still in prison till now.”
