Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of laying the groundwork for electoral manipulation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a viral video, VDM criticized plans to end Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) months before the presidential election, arguing that the move could disenfranchise millions of eligible voters.
According to him, many Nigerians displaced by insecurity and other challenges may not have enough time to register or transfer their voting locations before the deadline.
The activist questioned why voter registration would close so early, claiming the decision could benefit those already in power.
“Election has not started but they have started rigging it,” VDM said while calling out the INEC chairman and urging Nigerians to pay closer attention to the electoral process.

“Election have not started INEC has already started rigging. Make it make sense that you want to close voters registration six month before the general election. This is systematic rigging.”
