Nigerian music video producer Femi Dapson has come out swinging against online critics who claimed his wife, lifestyle content creator Simi Sanya, cannot cook.
Taking to his Snapchat story, Dapson posted videos showing a home-cooked spread featuring spaghetti, boiled eggs, chicken, and other side dishes, while directly cursing those who had previously mocked his wife’s culinary skills.
"E no go better for all of una wey say my wife no fit cook," the producer declared while displaying the meal.
Dapson’s defensive post quickly went viral across social media, drawing sharp, divided reactions from commentators.
While some users chided the film producer for going to extreme lengths to prove a point online, others mocked the dish, arguing that preparing spaghetti does not necessarily disprove claims about limited cooking skills:
"Your wife said she doesn't even know your favorite meals, but as a simp and finished man, you'll always come out to defend her," one user wrote.
"If you have to show us made believe meal she made just to prove she can cook, then instead of cursing others, why not pray for a little bottle sense na," another commentator chimed in.
"You cook spaghetti so for your eye now you don sabi cook niyen ooo smh," another critic added.
The controversy follows a resurfaced interview clip in which Simi Sanya stated that she only knows how to prepare basic dishes like spaghetti, yam, and eggs, adding that her husband accepted her as she was without complaint.
