Drinking alcohol is not a sin, they drink it in heaven - Reno Omokri

Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has said that drinking alcohol is not a sin and that such is done in heaven.

Taking to social media, Reno Omokri revealed that what is termed as sin concerning drinking alcohol is when one becomes drunken.

Citing some scriptures to buttress his claim, he wrote:

"Drinking alcohol is not a sin. Drunkenness is a sin. It is unscriptural to preach against alcohol. Even in heaven, they drink wine (Matthew 26:29).

"Paul encouraged wine drinking (1 Timothy 5:23). In fact, Psalm 104:15 says God created wine to gladden the hearts of men.

"Scripture allows you use your tithe to buy alcohol, including spirits (Deuteronomy 14:26).

He went on to advise people to stop allowing themselves to be used for merchandise.

"Emancipate yourself from religious bondage. Get your doctrine from Scripture, not tradition or church regulations. The Son has set you free. Don’t allow men keep you in bondage!", he said.
