Don Jazzy makes acting debut

Mavin Records chief executive Don Jazzy has landed his first acting role in a Nollywood production entitled ‘The Kujus Again.’

‘The Kujus Again,’ a sequel to TMPL motion pictures’ ‘Introducing The Kujus’ has given the popular music producer and social media influencer his first feature film role.

Playing the character, Don, the maverick producer cum artiste extraordinaire transitions smoothly from acting in comedy skits into the big screen. Don Jazzy offers a fresh charm and new twist in the well-loved family drama.

Speaking on what to expect, producer Winifred Okpapi said the sequel gets more interesting with Don Jazzy in the mix.

“With Don Jazzy in the mix, it gets more interesting and I am absolutely sure that fans will enjoy the sequel as well. For one, it was a natural decision for us to return to set for a sequel of Introducing The Kujus following the yearning of fans. The stories are endless as expected from a Nigerian family so we are excited to bring them to your screens again.”

Directed by Biodun Stephen, the sequel reaffirms the bond of family. The plot is to put the siblings at loggerheads, never agree and practically hate each other but will do anything for each other when the need arises no matter the cost.

Stars of the first franchise who also reconnect in the new sequel include Bisola Aiyeola, Femi Jacobs, Bimbo Ademoye, MC Lively, Kunle Remi, Timini Egbuson, Mimi Onalaja , Chris Iheuwa, and Ronke Odusanya.

After a record box-office success and an AMVCA win with ‘Introducing The Kujus,’ TMPL motion pictures has completed the sequel, which is scheduled for distribution to Nigerian cinemas nationwide by Filmone from Friday April 21.
