Mavin Records founder and music executive Don Jazzy has hinted that his search for a life partner could soon cross Nigerian borders, and he already has a few destinations in mind.
The conversation kicked off during a playful Instagram exchange with fans, after one described the 43-year-old producer as an "African treasure" who no longer belongs to Nigeria alone.
He revealed that he feels a strong emotional connection to several African countries, Ghana, South Africa, and Uganda among them, before dropping the comment that sent the internet into a spin.
"I heard that the babes there are nice… maybe I should come to Uganda since I did not find a wife in Nigeria. Maybe I should go and find a wife in Uganda or Tanzania," he said, with his signature humour firmly intact.
Fans were immediately divided. Some encouraged Don Jazzy to explore his options abroad, while loyal Nigerians flooded the comments, insisting their country still has more than enough eligible women for him, complete with suggestions, referrals, and full-blown matchmaking attempts.
Don Jazzy's romantic history is well documented. He was briefly married to Michelle Jackson at just 20 years old, a union that lasted roughly two years. He has since been open about how his relentless dedication to music contributed to the breakdown of that relationship.
In more recent conversations, the Mavin boss has made clear he is not rushing into anything, prioritising personal growth and self-development above all else.
