Scottish-Nigerian actress Caroline Hitchings has talked candidly about her life since divorcing her former husband, Musa Danjuma.
The actress said that she lost her identity and her dreams after her divorce in a lengthy Instagram post on Wednesday, July 17.
Caroline Hitchings told her tale, describing how rejection and discrimination drove her to start over after the divorce.
She said: “I was once a promising makeup artist and hair guru, actress, film producer and fashion consultant. CEO Luxury Addict, CEO Kinetic Media. But I lost my identity and dreams because of divorce.
“I walked away from it all for my own sanity. I started my journey from scratch facing all the fake rumors, discriminations, rejections and uncertainties at 29+ years.
“A conversation that women who have walked the same part hate to talk about. A bittersweet journey to a place unknown. This is my story,” she wrote.
Caroline married Musa in 2007 and divorced in 2016 after nine years together with her husband.
In 2023, Caroline Hutchings revealed that despite being divorced, she still used her estranged husband's name and the billionaire had no problem with it. According to her, divorce was just a paper and she and her ex-husband still like each other.
