Davido’s aide, Israel DMW deletes apology message to Muslims

Davido's logistics manager, Isreal Afeare, often known as Israel DMW has apologized to the Muslim community over a contentious music video that the singer uploaded.

Last Friday morning, July 21, Davido posted a music video on his Twitter page in an effort to promote his artiste, Logos Olori.

However, some Muslims found the "Jaye Lo" music video unpleasant, describing it as disrespectful to their religion. The music video showed scenes of people dancing and worshipping in what appeared to be a mosque.

However, Davido has subsequently deleted the video from his Facebook in response to several complaints and requests. The musician, however, has declined to make any additional comments regarding the controversies surrounding the 45-second short clip.

Isreal DMW then apologized to Muslims on behalf of Davido on his Instagram page, claiming that the track was only intended for amusement.

Davido has remained silent on the subject, however Isreal DMW said in a now-deleted post on his verified Instagram stories said: “Let me especially apologise to my Muslim brothers and sisters, on the video my oga posted, as a result of him wanting to lift up somebody, which is one of his hubbies. It was purely an entertainment effort wrongly presented. Make una no vex. Love you all.”(sic)
