The 68th Annual Grammy Awards may have concluded with some empty seats in Davido’s trophy cabinet, but the digital data tells a much more powerful story.
Despite going 0-for-3 on the night, the Afrobeats star proved that his cultural currency is the strongest in the game, ranking as the third most-mentioned artiste worldwide during the ceremony.
According to the official recap from X’s @Music account, Davido’s name resonated across the globe, trailing only behind Latin titan Bad Bunny and pop legend Lady Gaga.
While the Recording Academy voters leaned toward South Africa’s Tyla, who secured her second win in the Best African Music Performance category for "Push 2 Start," the internet belonged to Davido.
