Singer Davido has called the attention of U.S President Donald Trump to Osun State, where his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, is getting set for re-election on Saturday.

In a social media post, Davido stated that there are growing concerns about tension and the possibility of violence, intimidation, or disruption of the democratic process.

He said Osun people deserve to exercise their constitutional right to vote freely, peacefully, and without fear.

"I appeal to the United States and the international community to pay close attention to the election and encourage all relevant authorities to ensure that every voter is protected and every vote is respected.

"We do not want bloodshed. We do not want intimidation. We want peace, transparency, and a free and fair election," he said.

Meanwhile, Adeleke has warned the 34 governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that he's a bulldozer.

The governors have gathered resources and channelled them to Osun to unseat Adeleke for their candidate, Bola Oyebamiji.

Speaking at a town hall meeting a few days before the election, Adeleke reminded the APC governors that voting will be done by citizens of the state and not them.

He said, "I am not worried that I am contesting against a party that has 34 Governors; I am a bulldozer. If they like, they should bring all their Governors; they are all my friends. They are not the ones to come and vote here; they can only support their party."
