Davido apologises to fans, vows to take Timeless concert to Delta State

Afrobeats singer Davido has apologized to his fans who were waiting for him in Delta State for missing the Warri concert.

The Afrobeats singer raised uproar after he failed to show up for Amaju Pinnick's Warri Again event.

Amaju Pinnick, a former president of the Nigerian Football Federation, said that Davido received $98,000 from the event's organizers in addition to $18,000 for a private jet to transfer him to Delta State.

After taking the amount and the date, Davido allegedly did not show up, claims Pinnick.

In a series of tweets and photographs posted on his Instagram story, Davido reacted to Pinnick by accusing the former NFF president of being a dishonest football official who neglected to pay the wages and benefits owed to Nigerian athletes.

Amaju Pinnick claimed that Davido wouldn't be invited back to Delta state in his words, but Davido retaliated by saying that no one could stop him from performing anywhere in Nigeria.

Not to mention, Davido has expressed regret on his Instagram page. He expressed regret and displeasure at missing the event and promised to bring an even bigger show to the area.

Davido claimed that the Warri Again organizers continued to use his name in promotion for the event despite his notification that he wouldn't be able to attend owing to a difficulty with his show in New Zealand.

In addition to apologizing, Davido promised his Warri fans that he would soon bring his "Timeless Xperience Concert" to Delta State.
