Several Nigerian celebrities have taken to social media to mourn the death of rising singer, Mohbad.

On Tuesday, September 12, news of his death hit the internet. This sparked massive reactions across various social media platforms.

According to some reports, Mohbad went to the hospital to check himself for an ear infection and was given an injection. However he slept and never woke up.

Other reports suggested that his death was as a result of his struggles with his former record label.

It is unknown what actually led to the singer's death at the time of this publication.

However, tributes have been pouring in for the late singer.

Singer, Omawumi took to her Instagram page to share a video of herself applying make up on Mohbad.

Expressing her sadness, she wrote; "Ahhhhhhhhh! This life no balance ooooo! Mobahd!!! Na lie!"

Socialite, Cubana Chiefpriest joined the list of celebrities to mourn the passing of the singer.

Reminiscing on their last moments together, Chiefpriest wrote; "E get as this life be, we enjoyed last Sunday together, he even brought his son to our Ikorodu show. RIP General nothing really dey this life."

Cuteabiola revealed that Mohbad planned to buy a Range Rover Velar this coming Friday. He wrote; "Moh! na this Friday you want go buy new Range Rover velar oooo! yes this coming Friday! For God sake God who are we to question You."

Davido, Falz The Bad Guy, Obi Cubana, Isbae U also took to Mohbad's Instagram to mourn the singer.

This comes after Mohbad's family confirmed his passing in a statement shared on his Instagram page.
