Davido, Chioma mum over son’s rumoured death

Afrobeats star, Davido and his wife, Chioma Rowland have kept mum over the rumors about the death of their son, Ifeanyi.

Several efforts to reach an aide or associate of Davido have proven abortive as no one is willing to confirm or deny the incident.

Though the details are sketchy, it is alleged that Ifeanyi drowned at his father's Banana Island mansion on Monday, October 31.

The report was first made public from a now-deleted Instagram post by Eniola Badmus.

It went viral because of Badmus’ close relationship with Davido and his 30BG crew.

Emotions have been high over the incident, which has become the most searched and trending topic on social media platforms.

A handful of celebrities has been posting cryptic messages that appear to confirm the incident.

They include Ayo ‘AY’ Makun, Daddy Freeze and Lasisi Elenu.

“The death of a child is unnatural, unfair, and tragic, this hit me so bad,” AY wrote on his official Instagram page.

Elenu wrote: “Father heal your children’s hearts from this pain, strengthen them in such a dark and hurtful time oh Lord.”

Daddy Freeze wrote: “When the person you love is someone involved it becomes a heavy emotional burden. I am not confirming anything but bear with me I will not be live tonight.”
