British-Nigerian rapper Dave and Nigerian singer Tems have been named in Spotify’s 2026 ‘Songs of Summer’ predictions.

The streaming platform’s global editorial team selected their collaboration “Raindance (feat. Tems)” as a potential summer hit, based on worldwide streaming trends.

Released in October 2025, “Raindance” is the fifth track on Dave’s third studio album, The Boy Who Played the Harp.

The song was produced by Jo Caleb, Kyle Evans, Jim Legxacy, and the artists. It blends Tems’ soulful vocals with Dave’s introspective rap.

The track peaked at No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart, marking Tems’ first chart-topping entry in the United Kingdom.

It has since surpassed 500 million global streams. Spotify said the 2026 list spans pop, rap, Afrobeats, and electronic music.

This year’s edition also introduces in-app voting for users to predict the season’s biggest hit.
