Daniel Regha tackles government over collapsed national power grid

After the National Grid collapsed on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, many Nigerians took to social media to express their frustration.

Social media critic Daniel Regha has responded to the situation by asking whether the other countries that Nigeria supplies electricity to are affected by the national grid's failure.

The social media critic emphasized that whereas some parts of Nigeria have less than 12 hours of energy availability each day, several of these nations are said to have a constant power supply for 24 hours.

Taking to his X page, he wrote, “When Power Grid collapses, does it affect Togo, Benin, Niger? Or only Nigerians suffer blackout? Let’s not also forget that these countries reportedly get light “on a 24-hour basis” while some places in Nigeria barely see 12 hrs daily.

A country that supplies light to other countries but can’t brag of steady electricity; deliberate problem.”

Many social media users also shared their opinions on Daniel Regha's sentiments.
