The Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, Ossai Ovie Success, on Thursday, August 7, caused a buzz on social media with his comment about Davido and Chioma’s upcoming white wedding.

Legit.ng reported that Davido and Chioma, who were traditionally married in June 2024, are set to have their white wedding, dubbed ChividoMiami2025, this weekend in Miami, United States.

The couple, as well as their family and friends, have been spotted in Miami, in preparation of the grand event.

Reacting, Ossai Success, in a post via his Facebook page, expressed disappointment in Davido and Chioma's upcoming white wedding.

According to Ossai, ChividoMiami2025 was a waste of money. He argued that recognised billionaires like Aliko Dangote, Elon Musk, and Mark Zuckerberg would not spend money recklessly.

The Delta state governor's aide added that there was no need for a White wedding in Miami, when Davido and Chioma's lavish traditional wedding in Lagos was already over a year.

He wrote: "Davido and Chioma’s white wedding this weekend in Miami is a waste of money and i am disappointed . Having too much money doesn’t mean you should carelessly spend it. Dangote, Ossai Ovie Success , Elon musk and Mark Zuckerberg won’t waste money like this . What is the essence of white wedding in Florida when your lavish traditional marriage is over a year . I am really disappointed."

Isreal DMW, others react

Davido's aide and logistics manager, Isreal DMW, in a response, fired back at Ossai Success. Legit.ng compiled some of the reactions, read them below:
