Former Big Brother Naija housemate and actor, Pere Egbi, has voiced his outrage following the heartbreaking death of Ruth Otabor, the younger sister of reality TV star and hype priestess, Phyna.

In a post shared on his verified X account, Pere criticized the state of Nigeria’s justice system, stressing that what happened to Ruth would not go unpunished if it occurred in the United States.

“If what happened to Phyna in Nigeria happened to her here in the US, Dangote will pay out his ass. But it’s Nigeria. Lawlessness,” Pere wrote.

Ruth Otabor’s death has left fans and the entertainment industry shaken.

Recall that Ruth Otabor was hit by a Dangote truck in her hometown, Edo State. Due to the severity of the accident, one of her legs was immediately amputated, with reports suggesting the other one will be amputated too.

However, after a couple of days, she couldn't keep up and lost her life.

Pere’s tweet has since gone viral, with thousands joining him to lament the “lawlessness” that often robs victims’ families of closure in such tragic cases.
