Media personality Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze, has clashed with critics of Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, founder of the now-defunct Salvation Proclaimers Anointed Church, following the news of his likely deportation to Nigeria.
A netizen suggested that Pastor Tobi Adegboyega set up a church in Sango Ota, Ogun State, after his alleged deportation to Nigeria from the United Kingdom.
A UK immigration tribunal reportedly ordered his deportation after he was accused of mismanaging £1.87 million in church funds.
In response to the social media user’s suggestion, Daddy Freeze stated that Sango Ota was a place where the netizen's parents were working hard jobs.
Daddy Freeze noted that since he was born and moved to Lagos 20 years ago, he has not been to Sango Ota.
The media personality pointed out that if he can't go to the Southwest area, Pastor Tobi, who drives a Lamborghini, cannot go to Sango Ota.
Other Nigerians slammed Freeze for his defense of Pastor Adegboyega, especially since he is known for criticizing other pastors.
Daddy Freeze questioned why some people rub poverty on themselves like body cream and allow it to affect others.
His comment elicited several reactions from social media users
