Daddy Freeze, Mary Njoku slam Uche Ogbodo for defending rape accuser

Nollywood actress Mary Njoku and on-air personality Daddy Freeze have criticized actress Uche Ogbodo for defending a rape accuser.

A man identified as Richard Osita, uploaded a video of Bella Nwoko, his former friend, apologizing to him after accusing him of rape in 2021.

On Wednesday, April 5, Osita criticized the Nigerian Police on his Instagram story for not taking his plea against his blackmailer, Bella, seriously.

Despite the apology, Osita claimed that even though Bella was the target of his complaints, the police did not take him seriously because it was a female-on-male crime.

Speaking on the subject, Uche Ogbodo chastised Osita for being vengeful and steadfast in his pursuit of prosecuting his old friend despite her public admission of guilt.

She asserted that Osita had no case because the woman just threatened to accuse the man of rape but didn't actually do so.

Uche Ogbodo also confronted Osita for disparaging the Nigerian Police force as well.

She wrote: “Richard you need to Relax with your Vindictive approach! She threatened to accuse you but she never did and turned around to apologize for it. Forgive her then and move on!

“Let us stop pushing wicked and mean people to actually ruin people’s lives all in the name of “ I am Right “ see how you are even Abusing the Police Force!

“What manner of Person is this guy . You want her to Pay for what? For not carrying out a threat yet? Nah you even carry am come Social media come announce am . Abeg Shift Richard”

In response to the remark, Mary Njoku, a colleague of Uche's, objected, stating that the woman should bear the consequences because such unfounded charges can ruin someone's life, career, and reputation.

She wrote: “Na lie! She must face the consequences. False rape accusation can destroy someone’s life, career, and reputation forever!!! Anytime you search for his name, rape could be mentioned. And his crime was ‘not being interested in her’. She needs to be jailed.”

On-air personality Daddy Freeze also commented: “My sister if na rape dem rape woman and she wants justice would you say the same thing? Just asking.”
